5 Personal Branding Poses to Use In Your Upcoming Shoot

One question that people usually have when planning a personal branding shoot is, "How should I pose?" Even though your Docha photographer will be there to guide you based on the types of photos you want to take, it still helps to get inspired ahead of time and even go into your shoot with a few posing ideas of your own.

Here are a few to get you started.

1.      The Process

Are there steps that you follow when you first start working with a client? Perhaps you begin with a brainstorming session where you add ideas to a notebook. Maybe you create a mood board that will help you create beautiful designs for clients. Whatever process you follow, these are ideal moments to capture on camera. You can even get a few shots of your notebook as standalone photos. Just make sure the notebook is neat and fun to look at.

2.      The Headshot

Even though most of your personal branding photos will be of your whole body, it’s still a good idea to capture a few headshots too. Not only are these great for social media profile pics and your business cards, but it gives your photographer to capture the smaller details that make you who you are.

3.      The Work-In-Action

Depending on the product or service you offer, it’s always a good idea to get a photo of your work in action. For example, you could have a customer or someone you know using your product or engaging with your service. This way, new customers can envision themselves doing the same.

4.      The Client

Showcase how you interact and work with clients by bringing someone along to your shoot with you. These candid shots highlight your personality and indicate that you’re good with people. Again, it also gives potential customers a view into what it would be like to work with you.

5.      The End Product

Finally, you also want to grab a few shots of your end product. Whether this is a website or a physical product like a necklace, these are great for promoting your personal brand online, particularly on social media. You can even create some before and after photos if that fits in with what you specialize in.

Over and above these photo ideas, Docha Photography will also be able to give you a few others, so you’ll have plenty to choose from.
